There are quite a few applications for blogging in the appstore. As i, recently, decided to become an active part of the blogging community, i had to check them out. And for being the cheap asshole that i am, i opted only for the free ones. Shozu and Pixelpipe are only good for quick photo uploads and because of that, they are not to be discussed here. Out of the window goes Typepad also, because, although it is a free app, it requires a typepad account, which unfortunately requires your quid! That being said we are left with only 2 options: Lifecast and Blogwriter Lite. This very post has been written on Lifecast, which is the only one FREE app that supports photo AND post uploading as well (the full, paid version of Blogwriter also supports photos). Lifecast is a pretty straightforward application for blogging, basic enough, true, but that's all you need if you REALLY have to blog from your iphone on the road. I really enjoyed it and writting was fast and smooth, pleasing to the eye. In contrast, the free version of Blogwriter goes for a more Spartan approach and is quite discouraging to the eye of the beholder...ahem...writter. Lifecast also has an autosave feature which is very very helpful! Go on iPhone bloggers! Take my word for it and go try it!
